Job Description
Job Title: Receptionist
Reports To: Operations Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Responsible for interacting with the public and creating the first impression of the Firm.
Summary of essential job functions:
· Answer the telephone, screen and direct calls to the appropriate department.
· Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness- greet persons entering the Firm.
· Notarize legal documents
· When needed provide general administrative and clerical support.
· Receive and sort faxes, mail and deliveries
· Control inventory relevant to reception area; tidy and maintain the reception area
· Other duties may be assigned
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively respond to questions from the Public, Staff, Managers, and Attorneys
Ability to solve practical problems
Proficiency with multi-line phone system as well as all Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook & Excel (proficient in Excel a plus)
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current Notary Certification
